Thank you. First, to see if it's similar to my grandma's recipe, and second, I have to see this penmanship! I also have never had homemade angel food, but it has to come from a mix for me (I'm not a fan of the grocery store variety).

Yat-Yee - I will have to jump over to your blog and see this rediscovered bright pink jacket!

Stephanie - Thanks, Steph! You've got a lot on your plate. I'm surprised your even taking the time to peek at blogs right now, let alone comment. That little Wilbur pig is staring at me as I type, reminding me I should get back to outlining.Cuppa Joliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15917576466379786147noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1594040799707431375.post-22566536404138370072009-10-13T01:57:43.000-07:002009-10-13T01:57:43.000-07:00Happy late birthday!! (And I LOVE your Wilbur pig.)

And hang in there with the revisions. You are SO CLOSE! She always made it because it was my grandpa's (her dad) fav.

And I adore angel food cake though I've never had one made from scratch. It's exactly why I started sharing these Monday Moments: something from my life causes me to ask a question that could apply to a character's life somewhere, somehow.

That makes my day! Thank you. (and for the happy b-day)Cuppa Joliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15917576466379786147noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1594040799707431375.post-82613977017022440552009-10-12T15:42:39.481-07:002009-10-12T15:42:39.481-07:00My protagonist and her sister get to see their mot...My protagonist and her sister get to see their mother for the first time in four years (they were evacuated out of London during WWII). They find themselves walking very slowly to her as she gets off the train and they can't think of what to say to each other. It was a very surreal scene to write because she's in slow-motion and very aware of all her thoughts. She's not the sort to obsess, but here she does because she can't believe she's not running to her mother and giving her the biggest hug ever. But after that long, even with tons of letters, they're like strangers and don't know where to pick up.

A little more serious than your great Monday Moment, but it's the first thing that came to mind. Happy belated birthday!Emiliehttp://www.damselsinregress.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.com
