My own important anniversary is that of my marriage to Rose. Only one I ever even really think about most of the time.
In Ennui and Malaise, the main character no longer knows what any of his important dates are and it eats at him.
In Real Stakes, MC #2 marks the dates of important milestones in her law enforcement career. MC #1 mourns the date of his dad's death and his divorce.
