Let's Start the Week Off Strong! Who's In?

Don't miss today's Monday Moment (previous post)...'cause I heard something really cool over the weekend.

Okay, time to get busy. OR to beg you to hang out with me again because you make me get stuff done, and getting stuff done is good. So good.

Who's in? And what will you accomplish today? Together we can conquer anything. ANYTHING!!! (See what you've done to me?)

Plus, I will eventually share my "What's Behind that Brick?" story. As techie as I pretend to be, I've yet to get the video off my phone in a way I can share it here. Promise, I'll figure that out soon. (without sacrificing below goal)

MY GOAL TODAY: 2000 words (Without the distraction of the lose brick, I should get there.)

I'm in! Today I will re-write chapter one (cuz now that a lot of the first draft is there, ch.1 doesn't work so well...).

Uggghh, I need support today. I've only written 200 words. Just one of those dragging days. Good luck on 2000 words Jolie! I hope your first chapter rewrite works out Shari!

Shari - here's to a kick-ass chapter one! *and you look lovely in your I-was-first-to-jump-in tiara*

Jane - 200 words is more than you had yesterday. 200 beautiful new words, all fresh and shiny. But I understand the frustration when you want it to move faster, that smooth flow of words that just goes and goes and goes. You'll be there again. How many words would you like to hit today?

I'm rewriting the first six chapters thanks to kick-butt writers group yesterday. Tomorrow I start in on Chapter seven. My goal has been for a chapter for a week, and so far, so good!

How happy am I to have Michele here today? THIS happy *stretches arms wide*

Nothing better than a kick-butt writers group, that should make the work easier today, yes?

Michele, send me lots of your MT vibes, I'm writing about Livingston today. :)

Had great fun last Friday and I couldn't believe how productive I was. Today is a disjointed kind of a day though, so I don't know how much I'll get done. I'll try to get my butt in chair after around 2:13. Maybe I'll see you then.

Cuppa Jolie said...

Yat-Yee - love how specific you are! Not 2:10 or 2:15, but 2:13. Hope to see you then! :)

How goes it out there, friends?

I should be happy with 1200 words, but I thought I was further than that.

Reminder to self: 1200 is good. Keep going. But first, getting another cup of coffee.

You are all very quiet today. Hope your Monday goals are moving along.

I just hit 2037 *raises hands up* with 20 minutes left before I need to go grab the girlies. I'm telling you, the fact that I was going I need to check in here is the only reason I made it past 1200. So, thank you.

Hmmm, write more or dink around blogs and facebook? :)

Hee. Typed 2:13 by mistake.

Was going to blow off my writing but since I said here earlier I would join in, I made myself sit down. So you are definitely helping me be accountable.

Most rewriting so far. Wrote only about 200 new words. Will try to write a bit more before the natives return and demand food.

Jolie you rule! I think I'm just not any good on mondays. I'll be back tomorrow all shiny and bright, buckle down and try for 1500 words. I'm starting to really look forward to seeing your happy face/mug everyday! Hope everyone has a great night.

Aw, I missed the fun today! I had to work at my daughter's school all morning. I'll still set a little goal for myself for tonight. Maybe only 500 words... but that way I'll feel like I got to play.
Side note: Jolie~ Thanks for visiting my blog today! FYI, I learned a lot about blogging from you. : )
Can't wait for the "Mystery of the Brick" video.

Cuppa Jolie said...

Ah thanks, Molly! And, hey...500 words is not a little goal. When you can get that many words at the end of a busy day, you have done good, girl!

All - I will be back tomorrow but will be getting to it a bit later than normal, as I teach on Tues. morning, but I will be here. So set your goals when your ready to get started and KNOW I'll be here wanting to hear how you're doing.

I finished my first draft yesterday so I'm entering the hustle and bustle of editing land. :)
Keep at it!

Congrats, Karen! That's huge.

Chapter is revised and sent off to critique group - yay!

Thanks for the encouragement, Jolie! I'm glad you were there for me, cuz no one else seemed to be treating me with the pampering due someone wearing a tiara. ;)
